On October 27, 2023, the Faculty of Mechanical-Electrical and Computer Engineering organized the workshop entitled “Evaluation and acceptance of peer-reviewed publications” for all lecturers of the Faculty. The speaker of this workshop was Dr. Ut V. Le, Assistant to Chairman of the University Board for Research Affairs and also Head of the Research Group of Scientometrics and Research Administration Policies.

During the workshop, the lecturers had the opportunity to gain a better understanding of various decrees and policies related to scientific research activities through documents issued by the Government and Van Lang Universiy

Dr. Ut V. Le shared his thoughts: "The Faculty of Mechanical-Electrical and Computer Engineering is one of faculties with a significant number of high-quality research publications. With the achievements in research over the past period, I hope that in the upcoming academic years, the Faculty will continue to strive and produce more valuable research outputs."

During the workshop, Dr. Ut V. Le presented several key topics, including: how to measure research outputs of lecturers, abnormalilty in publications, classification of low-quality journals and publishers, journal rankings, books, and patents, operation of related councils and committees of research, research integrity, as well as the evaluation and acceptance process.

Through this workshop, the lecturers of the Faculty of Mechanical-Electrical and Computer Engineering have gained valuable information about the latest regulations and policies regarding research. The lecturers have gained valuable experiences and will apply them effectively in upcoming research projects.
