Enago is a leading provider of scientific manuscript editing services for the global research community. Recognizing the high importance of publishing international research papers in the academic environment, SARAP partnered with Enago to provide participants on new information and knowledge in while providing relevant skills for submitting and publishing scientific papers in international conferences. The workshop attracted over 130 participants who joined online via the Zoom platform.
During the workshop, faculty and staff received detailed guidance and information on three main topics: Scientific Research and Publishing International Papers, Policies supporting the research community, The top 10 secrets to international publishing, as shared by Enago.
In the first part of the presentation, Dr. Ut V. Le, Assistant to the Chairman of the University Board for Research Affairs, Van Lang University, discussed certain terms and clarified some concepts that can be easily confused in the fields of scientific research, education, and training. Dr. Ut V. Le emphasized: “A university should be understood and built in accordance with its role and function, which includes two main activities: education and research. With research, faculty members can discover new methods, make lectures more engaging, and expand knowledge for students. Therefore, improving the quality of university education is closely linked to the need to enhance the quality of the university's faculty. A good faculty member not only excels in teaching but also excels in guiding and supporting learners in conducting theses and research that elevate knowledge."
Representing Enago, Dr. Gayatri Phadke, Managing Editor, and Ms. Neha Arya, Senior Manager of Strategic Alliances, shared information about policies supporting the research community and the secrets to international publishing from Enago. Neha Arya explained, "Publishing internationally requires a meticulous preparation process. It starts with understanding the current academic publishing landscape, structuring your research, and importantly, selecting the appropriate journal that aligns with the criteria and corresponding customer profile of your research."
Through the workshop and other research-promoting activities, Van Lang University aims to inspire and motivate the scientific research community, both in teaching and learning. Under the guidance, support, and warm sharing of expertise from professionals, it is hoped that participants and the Van Lang community, in general, will draw valuable lessons for their lifelong learning journey.
